Team Puerto Rico finished the second stage of
the Women's Volleyball World Championship with a
record of 1-3.
After losing the first set, Puerto Rico
recovered to defeat Argentina with a score of
3-1 (20-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23). Argentina
outscored Puerto Rico in spikes (59-53), but the
Puerto Ricans were better in blocks (21-6) and
serves (1-0).
For Puerto Rico, Brittany Abercrombie had 25
points while Neira Ortiz and Pilar Victoria had
13 points each. For Argentina Erika Mercado
added 17 points and Paula Nizetich and Bianca
Farriol added 15 and 10 points respectively. |
