Puerto Rican team was defeated by Belgium in its
first appearance in the Women's World
Championship.
The Belgians easily dominated the Puerto Ricans
in straight sets with a score of 25-15, 27-25,
25-15 to score their first victory in the
tournament.
Britt Herbots and Marlies Janssens led the
Belgian attack with 25 and 14 points
respectively. For Puerto Rico, the top scorers
were Brittany Abercrombie with a total of 20
points and Stephanie Enright with 7. |
