Puerto Rico finishes in fifth place at U19 Cup

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 28, 2019 - Puerto Rico defeated Guatemala 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 25-21) in the match for fifth place at the U19 Boys’ Pan American Volleyball Cup on Sunday.

Sebastian Negrón landed 21 points, including two blocks and three aces, as the best offensive weapon for the winners. Diego Rosich and Abdriel Soto each had 11 points in the win.

Jason Hernández and Kevin Hoil each had 9 points as the best scorers for the Central American squad.

Guatemala held the advantage in blocks 8-6 while Puerto Rico led in aces 7-4 and attacks 46-23.
