Yarimar Rosa, captain of Puerto Rico, commented: “We are very
happy with the victory. The first set was complicated but then
we took control of the pace and went on to win.”
Maria Alejandra Marin, captain of Colombia: “Today our team
wasn’t able to follow the instructions of our coach. Things
didn’t work out well. We were out of sync and failed too much
in the reception.”
Jose Mieles, coach of Puerto Rico: “After the exhausting match
against Argentina we decided to rest the team in the morning as
we had to recover to play Colombia, a team that is coming along
pretty well. It worked the way we planned so we are still
seeking our goal of making it to the podium.”
Eduardo Guillaume, coach of Colombia: “Puerto Rico is a team
that always dominate the long rallies and that’s something my
young squad can’t control.
The difference was in the errors.” |
