The Puerto Rican team fell again in an
electrifying clash against Italy at the Women's
Volleyball World Championship.
The Italians defeated the Puerto Ricans with a
score of 3-0 (28-26, 25-21, 26-24) surpassing
them in attacks 50-33 and in blocks 11-7 while
Puerto Rico was better in services 6-0.
Paola Egonu with 19 points, Elena Pietrini with
15 and Caterina Bosetti with 10 were the most
notable for Italy, while Brittany Abercrombie
and Stephanie Enright stood out for Puerto Rico
with 19 and 9 points respectively.
The next commitment of the Puerto Ricans will be
on September 28 when they will face the
Netherlands. |
