Punta Cana will be site of NORCECA Congress for third time
SANTO DOMINGO, Domingo Dominican Republic, March 17, 2020 – The
Twenty-fifth NORCECA Congress will be held on June 27-28 in
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

has been invited to join the representatives of 41 affiliated
National Federations and Regional members who for the
third time in the history of the Continental Volleyball
Confederation, will gather in the fabulous touristic north
eastern region of the Dominican Republic to elect a new
directory for the next four years.
The participants will be lodged at the glamorous Barcelo Bavaro
Grand Resort at Punta Cana arriving on June 26 and leaving on
June 29. Each NF can be represented by two members.
Punta Cana was the site of the NORCECA Congress in 2011 and 2015
and also of the FIVB Executive Committee and Board of
Administration meetings in 2010.
The agenda of the Congress include activity report from the
President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz as well as the reports from all
the commissions before proceeding to elect the new authorities
for a four-year term.
The members of the current EC and BOA will arrive on June 25 and
will meet the following day in an extraordinary session ahead of
the Congress which is the highest body of the institution.
NORCECA has had only four presidents – Ruben Acosta Hernández
(1968-84), Libertario Pérez (1984-88), Luis Mendoza (1988-2001)
and Cristobal Marte Hoffiz (2001-present). |
