Quinlan re-elected as President of ECVA
ST EUSTATIUS, December 5, 2019 - The Eastern Caribbean
Volleyball Association (ECVA) held its 12th
Annual Congress on the tiny Dutch Caribbean Island of St.
Eustatius on November 30th.
Representatives from fourteen member federations gathered to
discuss the Association affairs and choose a new executive
to guide ECVA’s operations for the next four (4) years.
Affiliated countries such Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda,
British Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Dominica, Saba, Dutch and
French St Martin, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the
Grenadines, Grenada, Monserrat and Saint Lucia were in
attendance.
Also in attendance was the President of NORCECA, President
Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, as well as local dignitaries from
the island. The Acting Kingdom Commissioner (Acting
Governor) of St. Eustatius, the Hon. Mervyn Stegers as well
as the Minister of Tourism, Mr Charles Lindo, presented to
the ECVA delegation.
This being an elective Congress witnessed the following
individuals were returned unopposed to lead the regional
block; Mr. Glenn Quinlan (St. Kitts & Nevis), President; Ms.
Sabinah Clement (BVI) Vice President; Mr. Shayne Felicien
(Saint Lucia) General Secretary; Wilbur Harrigan (Antigua &
Barbuda) Treasurer, and Mr. Elvin Henriquez (St. Eustatius)
member.
President Marte Hoffiz expressed his gratitude to the
Congress for their selection and pledged his full support
for the future.
