RIMINI, Italy, May 28, 2021 – USA
defeated Canada 3-0 in a battle between neighbor
countries in the opening day of the FIVB Men’s
Volleyball Nations League.
Torey Defalco and Kyle Ensing scored 15
and 13 points, respectively, in leading the
25-17, 26-24, 25-20 victory. Taylor Averill
chipped in with 9 points.
Stephen Maar led Canada with 9 points,
followed by Sharone Vernon-Evans with 7.
The two teams had similar numbers in the
different categories except for attack where
United States led 43-30.
The Americans next play Brazil while the
Canadians go against Argentina on Saturday. |
