Refereeing Seminar in Haiti

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, December 2, 2014 - In its quest to continue forming its volleyball technicians, the Haiti National Federation hosted an FIVB refereeing seminar which took place from November 27 to December 01, 2014, at the Sport for Hope Olympic Centre in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

The hosting of the seminar in Haiti received the support of NORCECA Confederation as part of its development plan for National Federations category I and II. 

The seminar was conducted by French-speaking André Trottier, a member of both the FIVB and NORCECA Refereeing Commissions.

Thirty-four (34) referees and aspiring referees, coming from various regions of the country, participated in this seminar, which proceeded well, at the great satisfaction of both Mr. Trottier and the participants.

With their newly-acquired and/or reinforced knowledge, the National Federation can count on a group of referees who will help enhance the game of volleyball in Haiti.
