GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, February 25, 2016. – The NORCECA
volleyball Confederation in joint effort with the International
Volleyball Federation FIVB, contributes with the AFECAVOL zone
with hiring the services of the FIVB/NORCECA instructor Rejane
Cannes of Brazil, a Beach Volleyball pioneer.
The seven Central American countries will benefit from Rejane
Cannes recognized experience during the next ten months, as an
itinerary schedule has been established by the national
federations grouped in AFECAVOL.
During her visits, Rejane will coordinate with coaches and
physical education teachers a practical and theoretical program
in accordance with each national federation’s needs, to elevate
the game level of beach volleyball.
Cannes is a pioneer in her field; she began her volleyball
career in 1990, making Brazil a worldwide authority in beach
volleyball. She is in charge of a development center in
Copacabana and has twenty years of experience as a player and
ten years as a coach.
“I am proud to be part of the growth of beach volleyball in
Brazil and now I have the opportunity to contribute with the
expansion of this discipline around the world” said Cannes.
This project is part of Dr. Ary S.
Graça initiative to generate
more interest and players of beach volleyball. “The FIVB
presidency along with NORCECA thru President Cristobal Marte
Hoffiz, are creating solid basis for beach volleyball and this
is the first step towards improving its development program” she
indicated.
Rejane is known to be very active, energetic in the projects she
has been part of and has high expectations for the Central
American region; she is eager to contribute with technical
commissions and players.
“My working plan includes proper technical, physical and
psychological procedures; we will engage sessions with
discipline and passion, not only from my side but the player’s
side” added Rejane, who also shows enthusiasm for successful
development exchange in AFECAVOL.
The program is set for February thru November and began in
Guatemala with Rejane’s arrival on January 31; followed by the
visits to Honduras, Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica
and Panama. |
