LA HAYA, Holanda, 6 de julio de 2015 - Los equipos de NORCECA de
Estados Unidos, Canadá, Cuba, México, El Salvador, Puerto Rico,
Guatemala y Costa Rica participaron en los Campeonatos Mundiales
de Vóleibol de Playa que concluyeron el domingo.
El dúo de EEUU de Nick Lucena y Theodore Brunner terminó en el
cuarto lugar de la división de los hombres después de perder el
partido por la medalla de bronce ante los brasileños Pedro
Solberg y Evandro Goncalves 2-0 (22-20, 21-13) el domingo.
Los cubanos Nivaldo Díaz y Sergio González, los mexicanos Juan
Virgen y Lombardo Ontiveros y los canadienses Josh Binstock y
Sam Schachter fueron eliminados en la ronda de 16, mientras que
Jacob Gibb y Casey Patterson, de Estados Unidos, alcanzaron los
cuartos de final.
En el segmento de las mujeres, los equipos de Lauren Fendrick y
Brooke Sweat, de Estados Unidos, y Sarah Pavan y Heather Bansley,
de Canadá, compitieron hasta la ronda de cuartos de final.
