TOKYO, Japan, August 5, 2021 – April Ross and
Alix Klineman of United States will play for the
women’s gold medal of the beach volleyball
tournament at Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
In semifinals, the American duo beat Anouk
Vergé-Dépré and Joanna Heidrich of Switzerland
2-0 (21-11, 21-12).
They will play for the title against Australia’s
Mariafe Artacho del Solar and Taliqua Clancy who
defeated Latvia’s Tina Graudina and Anastasija
Kravcenoka 2-0 (23-21, 21-13).
In the men’s division, Norway’s Anders Mol and
Christian Sorum defeated Latvia’s Martins
Plavins and Edgars Tocs 2-0 (21-15, 21-16) and
Russia’s Viacheslav Krasilnikov and Oleg
Stoyanovskiy beat Qatar’s Cherif Yonousse and
Ahmed Tijan Janko 2-0 (21-19, 21-17). |
