RIMINI, Italy, June 12, 2021 - Russia crushed
Canada 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-14) in the FIVB
Nations League women's volleyball match on
Sunday. Russia put their win-loss record at 7-4,
while Canada fell to 3-8.
The Russians dominated from the first whistle
and held advantages of 10-2 in aces, 6-3 in
blocks and 40-29 in attacks. They made only 7
unforced errors to 19 by the Canadians.
Arina Fedorovtseva racked up 16 points as the
top Russian scorer. Irina Koroleva and Nataliya
Goncharova added 9 and 7, respectively. Shainah
Joseph registered 10 points to lead Canada.
On Monday, Russia plays Serbia and Canada goes
against Korea. |
