TOKYO, Japan, July 26, 2021 – Russia defeated
United States 3-1 (25-23, 27-25, 21-25, 25-23)
in Pool B of the Men’s Volleyball Tournament at
the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on Monday.
It was the second victory in as many outings for
the Russian team while the Americans fell to
1-1.
Dmitry Volkov led Russia with 16 points,
followed by Egor Kliuka (14), Maxim Mikhaylov
(11) and Ivan Iakovlev (10).
Taylor Sander and Matt Anderson topped the
American scoring with 17 and 15 points,
respectively. |
