Pool A of the NORCECA Women’s Continental Championship at Hector
                Sola Bezares Coliseum on Monday.

The winners established an astonishing 17-0 difference in the
aces category with well located serves and Costa Rica struggling
with the reception for the whole match.

11 and 10 points respectively for Puerto Rico. Enright totaled

“We are very happy with this start,” Puerto Rico’s Vilmarie
Mojica said. “We were a little anxious at the beginning but we
were able to shake it off. Everyone did the job, the starters
and the players that came from the bench.”

“Puerto Rico played very fast with the attacks from the corners
and their serves caused a lot of problems to our reception,”
Costa Rica’s Verania Willis said. “They took advantage of our
                weaknesses.”

“We have been working hard for five months and our serves were
very good tonight,” Puerto Rico’s David Aleman said. “At this
level you have to serve aggressive and we have to keep the same
                intensity.”

“Our team is not complete and we didn’t prepare as well as we
wanted,” Costa Rica’s Braulio Godinez said. “Puerto Rico has
been improving and they worked very well tonight with all the
                talent they have.”   |
