Chiapas welcomes the best of the Continent

TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, Mexico, September 21st 2010.— The General Director of the Sports Institute of Chiapas, Jorge Cuesy Serrano, welcomed the coaches, referees and members of the Control Committee of the 3rd Women´s Volleyball Final Four Cup.

Cuesy Serrano, head of the organising committee addresed his message on behalf of the State Governor Juan Sabines Guerrero. “It is a pride and a honor to have you here and welcome to Chiapas the most mexican state in the nation”, he stated. “Alongside the 200 years of Mexico Independence, we also have a reason to celebrate how we decided to be part of this country in 1824”.

Thus, The Final Four is another high level event to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the Independence with the best teams of South America and the Pan American Champion, whit the host team.

The coaches, referees, members of the media and the Control Committee were also invited to a special reception where everybody could get a taste of Mexico and Chiapas.

After the second match of the first day of competition there was a opening ceremony scheduled at the Chiapas Polyforum held by the organising committee to mark officially the start of the tournament that will last until september 25th with the finals and the award ceremony of the best players.
