SOFIA, Bulgaria, June 24, 2022 – Serbia came all
the way back from a two-set deficit to defeat
Canada 3-2 (20-25, 19-25, 25-20, 26-24, 15-11)
in a contest of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball
Nations League on Friday.
Serbia led in attacks (58-54) and made fewer
mistakes (34-38) while Canada held the advantage
in blocks (9-6) and serves (8-3).
Aleksandar Atanasijevic led Canada with 22
points, followed by Miran Kujundzic and Srecko
Lisinac with 15 points apiece.
Stephen Timothy Maar had 22 points as the best
scorer for Canada while Erick Loeppky and Ryan
Sclater added 19 and 17, respectively.
Serbia improved to 3-4 and Canada dropped to 2-5
in the standings. |
