of International Beach Volleyball
SEVEN MILE BEACH, Cayman Islands, June 17, 2025. – The famous shores
of Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, are set to
become the epicenter of regional beach volleyball this week, as two
important international competitions take place back-to-back.
Kicking off the action on June 19 is the CAZOVA Under-21 Beach
Volleyball Championship, a one-day event organized by the Caribbean
Zonal Volleyball Association. This high-stakes tournament serves as
CAZOVA qualifier for the 2025 NORCECA U21 Championships, a key step
towards qualification for the FIVB U21 World Championships later
this year.
The top three teams in both the men’s and women’s competitions will
compete at the NORCECA World Championship Qualifier, which will be
held from 3 to 7 July in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic.
This event reflects CAZOVA’s dedication to developing young beach
volleyball talent and expanding competitive opportunities for
athletes across the Caribbean.
Immediately following, from June 20 to 23, the spotlight remains on
Seven Mile Beach as it hosts the second stage of the 2025 NORCECA
U23 Beach Volleyball Tour. Aimed at up-and-coming players, this
developmental tournament offers crucial international experience and
ranking points. The competition also plays a key role in preparing
athletes for future events, such as the 2025 Junior Pan American
Games in Asunción, Paraguay.
The back-to-back tournaments not only showcase Seven Mile Beach as a
prime venue for elite beach volleyball but also reinforce NORCECA’s
commitment to athlete growth and the sport’s continued expansion
across the North, Central America and the Caribbean region. |
