Seven undefeated women's teams start the U-23 Continental Tour
PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, October 7, 2024. - Seven women’s pairs
began the 2024 NORCECA U23 Beach Volleyball Continental Tour undefeated,
which started on Monday on the sand courts at Los Corales Beach in Punta
Cana.
Cuba’s Maykalin Drik/Mileidy Paret defeated team number 2 of the
Dominican Republic, Zoe Paniagua/Anicaury Báez, 2-0 (21-19, 21-11), and
Guatemala’s Ana Arévalo/Danna Aguilar 2-0 (21-10, 21-15).
The other Dominican duo, Crismil Paniagua/Darlenys Olivo, beat Reanna
Robinson/Nayelli Fergus from Saint Vincent 2-0 (21-10, 21-8), while
their other match was a bye. Adalia Badroe/Shanice Cottoy from Trinidad
and Tobago also defeated Robinson/Fergus 2-1 (21-13, 17-21, 16-14), with
their other match being a bye as well.
Daniela Vigil and Karla Tovar from El Salvador overcame Joanna
Robinson/Luna Ebanks from the Cayman Islands 2-0 (21-14, 21-12) and
Canada’s team number 2, Maya Boutanos/Kate Chipman, 2-0 (21-9, 21-15).
Meanwhile, Isabella Martínez/Ella Connor from the United States secured
victories against Joanna Robinson/Luna Ebanks 2-0 (21-6, 21-5) and
Boutanos/Chipman 2-0 (21-9, 21-13).
The other undefeated pairs are Laura Molina/Aliza Aguilar from Costa
Rica, after beating K. Trott/H. Trott from Bermuda 2-0 (21-8, 21-8) and
Kirra Lambert/Sophia Peifer-Del Valle from the U.S. Virgin Islands 2-0
(21-10, 21-14). Emma Cudmore/Sophie Hancock from the United States
defeated Lambert/Peifer-Del Valle 2-0 (21-12, 21-10) and K. Trott/H.
Trott 2-0 (21-4, 21-10).
