Sports Organizing is the backbone of our confederation: Marte
Hoffiz
TIJUANA, Mexico, January 10, 2015.- “The Sport Organizing
Commission is the backbone of our institution,” said Norceca
President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz during the opening of the works
of the annual meeting celebrated at Grand Hotel Tijuana.
“I want to thank the Baja California Sports Institute, Mr. Saul
Castro for receiving the members of our commission. We will also
celebrate other meetings such as the ones for development,
technical, coaches and beach volleyball,” Marte added.
One of the most important points during the beginning of the
meetings was about development and participation of affiliated
countries. “Norceca development is based upon participation and
competition, this is the backbone of our institution”, he
exposed.
“The most important thing is to coordinate the competition
calendars. The Calendar is based in the participation of our
international teams to have the chance to keep on working.”
Marte remembered how 14 years ago, a new strategy had just begun
to develop and contribute to the growing of the national
affiliated federations. “Norceca is not anymore an skeleton
conferetation we are now respected internationally. So we have
to work harder and harder,” Marte Hoffiz stated.
During the next congress of the confederation scheduled between
the months of October and November, a seminar will take place.
“This will help us to evaluate every detail the impact of the
federations development to really know were our federations were
four years ago,” He explained.
In the same way, this situation will contribute to see how their
ranking has improved. “What we don’t have with resources, we can
compensate it with work,” the also FIVB First Executive Vice
President stated.
Members of the South American Confederation have also attended,
with the goal to coordinate the participation of teams in
qualifying events for world level competitions as part of the
Pan American Volleyball Union.
“It is important, because we do not always have the same kind of
opportunities to play against big level teams and this is a
chance to get it,” He established.
Now the Norceca region teams when talking about the development
plan, have the chances to participate against teams from South
America like Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil. |
