St Vincent finishes third in Group K

ST CROIX, Virgin Islands, May 26, 2013 – St Vincent and Grenadines defeated British Virgin Islands 25-19, 25-23, 25-17 on Sunday evening in the match for third place at the NORCECA Second Round Group K Tournament, a qualifier to the FIVB 2014 Women’s World Championship in Italy.

It was the second victory for St Vincent and Grenadines both in consecutive sets off the winless British Virgin Islands.

Krystal Ralph and Bretisha Gregg concluded the match with double digits in the scoring charts with 13 and 12 respectively for the winners. St Vincent held a 10-5 advantage in aces while British Virgin Islands had a 9-3 margin in blocks.

The best positioned team in NORCECA Rankings as of January 1, 2014 among those that finish in third place in all the six tournaments of the year also will make it to the third round.
