St. Lucia Shows Early Intent

ST JOHNS, Antigua, July 7, 2016 - St. Lucia served early notice with a high jumping, hard hitting and strong serving exhibition as they trounced Dominica in 3 straight sets (25-19, 25-15 and 25-10) to start the inaugural ECVA U-23 Men’s championship at the YMCA in St. John’s, Antigua.

Augustin Faulkner (Matlo) wearing the #11 jersey for St. Lucia was perhaps the pick of the St. Lucians as he was jump serving and spiking out of the backcourt and at times seemed unstoppable.

Albert Loblack, Dominica’s coach was pretty disappointed but is sure that his players will regroup and get stronger. Kendel Charlery, his St. Lucian counterpart was understandably happy with the performance of his charges although he warned that they would get better with more court time

Now, that’s a scary thought!
