Stats and VIS Commission meets in Santo Domingo

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 27, 2017 – The Statistics and VIS Commission of NORCECA held its annual meeting in Santo Domingo last Sunday chaired by Nicaraguan Judith Sandino and the presence of Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of the volleyball confederation.

Ms Sandino welcomed the participants representing all the zonal associations within NORCECA who had a proactive participation during the one-day meeting at the headquarters of the entity in Santo Domingo.

The members of the commission reviewed the participation of the statistics and VIS delegates in the different events of volleyball and beach volleyball organized in 2016 under the responsibility of NORCECA Confederation.

President Marte Hoffiz underlined the importance of the VIS delegates and the role played by them during the tournaments, especially in those first round events held last year towards the FIVB Women and Men World Championships.

At the end of the meeting the members of the commission took part in a theoretical and practical workshop related to the new developments in the area of technology and electronics in volleyball and beach volleyball.
