PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti, May 7, 2016 – More than 400 students
–boys and girls- distributed in 30 teams hailing from 7
different zones and 12 cities took part in the 2015-16 Haiti’s
Volleyball National School Program.
The activity was a complete success and will enable the national
federation to confirm and discover new talents who will
integrate the youth and junior Haitian teams over the next four
years.
The finals took place at the Olympic Center Sport for Hope in
Port-au-Prince where 7 courts –4 indoor and 3 outdoor- were
utilized.
College Eben Ezer and Notre Dame de Fatima in Minime G and B,
respectively, won the championships while College La Providence
and Lycee Henri Cristophe won in the divisions Cadet G and B.
The Olympic Center Sport for Hope was, for the first time, the
host of this particular event. Its newly-built dormitory was
used by delegations coming from the interior of the country.
The games were handled with order and discipline at the
satisfaction of all involved. There was also good refereeing
and good management of the courts by those responsible for
managing the activity. |
