TTO Team playing at World Grand Prix Group 3

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, July 10, 2017 – The Women’s National Team of Trinidad and Tobago is currently playing in Group 3 of the FIVB World Grand Prix.

It has been a long process under the guidance of Cuban-born coach Francisco –Panchy- Cruz, who transferred from the Dominican Republic to Trinidad and Tobago.

Cruz is confident that under the current circumstances more opportunities of development are available for a female program similar to the one he worked for in Santo Domingo.

The Trinidadian players are very tall and some of them have started to get professional contracts in Europe as part of their development.

Trinidad and Tobago will participate in the last round of qualification tournaments towards the 2018 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan.
