Tatiana Sayles of Costa Rica Named
MVP of the Central American Games
GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, October 21, 2025.– Costa Rica’s Tatiana
Sayles was honored as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the women’s
volleyball tournament at the 12th Central American Games Guatemala
2025, held from October 17 to 21 at Teodoro Palacios Flores
Gymnasium.
Sayles’ all-around performance and consistent offensive strength
were key to Costa Rica’s success throughout the competition and
winning their ninth Central American Games title. Sayles also
received the Second Best Spiker award.
Guatemala’s María Santa Cruz earned First Best Spiker, while
Panama’s Sofía Centella and El Salvador’s Evelyn Ramírez were named
First and Second Best Blockers, respectively.
Costa Rica’s setter Yuliana González was awarded Best Setter, while
her teammate Ana Victoria Rojas claimed two distinctions — Best
Opposite and Best Server. Defensive specialist María José Castro,
also from Costa Rica, took home Best Libero and Best Receiver,
demonstrating her versatility and consistency in the backcourt.
Panama’s Ruth Rivas was recognized as Best Digger, and Belize’s
Nelissa Ramírez earned the Best Scorer award, highlighting her
attacking prowess throughout the tournament. |
