TULSA, Oklahoma, USA, July 18, 2022 – Team USA

time.

five points on five spikes.
USA Head Coach Jamie Morrison: We have some
people for whom it was their first time in a USA
uniform. It was nice to get some people on the
floor and get that experience for everyone in
the first match. We’re really treating our
matches as an extension of the work that we’ve
done with the 20-person preliminary roster. I
thought we did a really good job of dialing in
some things we have been working on.
Luis Banuelos, coach of Mexico: “It is the first
international experience for many of these girls
and facing a power like the United States was
difficult. In the end we did not lower our heads
and fought as best we could.
There is a lot to learn from this match.” |
