The Cordoba Arena is ready
CORDOBA, Veracruz, November 14, 2014 - While the Opening
Ceremony of the Central American and Caribbean Games took part
at the Luis “Pirata” Fuente Stadium in Veracruz, the City of
Cordoba prepared for the beginning of volleyball competition.
The last practical clinic done by volunteers and directed by the
refereeing commission of the Norceca Confederation, took place
at a majestic Cordoba Arena.
The designated referees as well as the moppers and ball
retrievers worked hard along with the protocol support personnel
of Organizing Committee.
“Our goal is to present a very good show and volleyball event to
the citizens of Cordoba, Mexico and the whole world. We will
have millions of telespectators that will have the chance to see
the best volleyball, and the best result ever,” said Norceca
President, Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.
“We want to surpass the organizational expectations that we
achieved in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, four years ago,” He
explained. “We have a very good venue. Enough training courts,
all of them in one place.”
The also First Executive Vice President of the FIVB, also said
that “a Brand new technological system, that was developed for
the first time at the world championships Italy and in Poland,
will be used here, by presenting all the graphic information on
each player during male and female competitions.”
The Control Committe held its general technical meeting with all
their counter parts and also competing teams, waiting for the
first match that begins on Saturday at 2:00 PM local time,
between Colombia and Cuba. |
