The road to Toronto 2015 is ready for Volleyball
TIJUANA, Mexico, January 11, 2015 - The road to the Pan American
Games of Toronto is closer, and in the case of volleyball, the
last details have been set by the host country.
Norceca Central Zone President, Hugh Wong, from Canada,
presented the preliminary report of indoor and beach volleyball
competitions that will be played on july 2015.
The Exposition Centre, as well as the Goldring Centre of the
Toronto University and the Chevrolet Beach Volleyball Centre
will be part of the playing and training facilities.
The sports infrastructure for training courts and preparation
areas for the competing delegations, technical and operations
personnel were also analyzed on the second day of the Sport
Organizing Commission meeting at the Tijuana Grand Hotel.
Also the transportation plans and system for the different
sports disciplines that are part of the Pan American program
were shown as part of the updates. “We will have an exclusive
and universal transportation system for the athletes in
Toronto”, Wong explained.
Athletes and teams’ personnel will stay at the Pan Am Village
that is 90 percent ready. The rest of the officers and technical
commissions members will stay at hotels. The Pan American Games
will take part from July 10 to 26. |
