Third Place for Mexico

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, September 7, 2016 - Mexico defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 to finish in third place at the NORCECA U-18 Continental Championship.

Mexican controlled the match from start to finish and achieved the victory with scores 25-20, 25-18, 25-19.

Uxue Guereca led Mexico with 15 points, followed by Daniela Siller and Karla Mireles who finished with 10 points each.

"It was a great triumph. The group knew how important was to win this game. Now we will try to qualify for the World Championship at the Pan American Cup," said, Mexico coach, Ricardo Naranjo.
