Thirty Coaches participate in Seminar for Setters in Mexico

 

   

CUAUTITLAN, Mexico, May 7, 2016 – Thirty coaches hailing from several cities of Mexico took part in the International Seminar for Setters that concluded on Friday in this city of State of Mexico.

Jesus Perales, president of the Mexican Volleyball Federation, attended the closing ceremony and presented the certificates to all the participants together with Juan Galaviz Moran, president of the Volleyball Association of the State of Mexico.

Perales expressed his satisfaction for the realization of the seminar and the benefits that represent for the training and knowledge of Mexican coaches. He promised to continue working in favor of achieving new goals on that field.

“I want to thank NORCECA for the opportunity of hosting this seminar and we will follow with more courses and seminars to continue working towards a full development of volleyball in our country,” Perales stated.

The seminar was conducted under the supervision of FIVB Instructor Juan Cartagena, who was assisted by local staff. He encouraged the participants to continue acquiring knowledge about the new techniques to teach the game and train their teams.

“I am really very proud and satisfied with the interest showed by all the participants in both the theoretical and practical sessions,” Cartagena said.

The Seminar for Setters was organized under the supervision of the NORCECA/FIVB Regional Development Centre in the Dominican Republic in collaboration with the Mexican Volleyball Federation and the support from NORCECA Confederation.
