Thirty-one NORCECA referees to participate in Refreshment Course

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, February 8, 2018 – Thirty one referees have been registered to participate in the NORCECA Continental Refreshment Course to be held from February 23 to 25.

The course will be directed by instructors Willy Paredes of Argentina, José Ramón Pérez Vento of United States and Guy Bradbury of Canada.

Dr. Victor Figueroa, coach Marcos Kwiek and psychologist Mirta de Figueroa will participate as invited exponents while Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, president of NORCECA, will expose about the plans and programs of FIVB regarding development of referees.

The referees to participate, including nine women, hail from United States, Costa Rica, Bahamas, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Cuba Panama and Dominican Republic.

The female referees are: Rebeca Ruiz and Patty Rolf of United States, Tatiana Villalobos and Cinthia Hernandez of Costa Rica, Yamil Gómez, Ana Ramírez and Maricela Candelario of Puerto Rico, Lourdes Pérez of Cuba and Walda Maldonado of Guatemala.

The male referees are: Dennis Cespedes, Ron Stahl, Josmer Pérez, Paul Albright and Kevin Cull of United States, Hector Ortiz, Juan Rivera, Miguel Angel Figueroa, David Reyes and Miguel Marrero of Puerto Rico, Yuri Ramírez, Nelson Mateo and José Beltré of Dominican Republic, Randy Sánchez, Saúl Sosa Salas, Luis Gerardo Macías and Daniel González of Mexico.

Also Lanza Miller of Bahamas, Gerardo Cifuentes of Guatemala, Ricardo Borros of Cuba, Andrew Robb of Canada and Carlos Quintana of Panama.
