CALGARY, Canada, July 2, 2022 – Three players
scored over 20 points as United States edged
Turkey 3-2 (25-22, 18-25, 27-25, 23-25, 18-16)
for its tenth victory against one loss at the
FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League on
Saturday.
Kara Bajema, Andrea Drews and Kelsey Robinson
finished with 25, 24 and 21 points,
respectively, for the American side. Haleigh
Washington added 11 in the victory.
Ebrar Karakurt had a match-high 27 points for
Turkey and next was Zehra Gunes with 19. Saliha
Sahin and Eda Ederm finished with 17 and 14
points, respectively.
Turkey held the advantage in blocks (12-5) while
the Americans led in service winners (9-2). |
