SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA, May 31, 2022 - Three
players from the United States each scored 15
points in a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 victory over the
Dominican Republic in the start of the Women's
Volleyball Nations League of the FIVB on Tuesday
night.
Sarah Wilwhite topped the leading trio with two
aces and three blocks, while Alexandra Frantti
and Jordan Thompson added two and one block,
respectively.
Yonkaira Peña and Gaila Gonzalez were the best
scorers for the Dominican team with 9 and 7
points.
Dominican star player Brayelin Martinez did not
see action in the match due to a sore knee. |
