SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, April 11, 2016 – The NORCECA
Finances Commission held its annual meeting on Monday under the
presidency of Mexican Alberto Arreola and with the presence of
NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz.
The members of the commission, including NORCECA Treasurer
Wilbur Harrigan of Antigua and Barbuda and Margarette Graham of
Haiti the secretary of the commission, received and approved the
financial statements of the institution presented by Olga Rivas
and Miguelina Martinez, finances manager and accountant,
respectively.
Rivas and Martinez also informed the commission about the
financial assistance to the national federations and the
distribution of sport equipment like balls, nets, and playing
surfaces.
They expressed their satisfaction with the “transparency and
suitable management of the economical resources as well as the
maintenance of generally accepted accounting standards.”
Arreola said the organization “is in a healthy financial
position thanks to a balanced budget management and the rigorous
use of funds available.”
The executed budget of 2015 was presented during the meeting as
well as the projected budge corresponding to the period
2016-2018.
Marte Hoffiz made a presentation that included charts showing
the financial evolution of NORCECA covering the period 2001-2015
and also the economical assistance given to the four Zonal
Associations within NORCECA.
The members of the commission also discussed the investment made
by NORCECA in the Development Plan for the period 2011-2015 and
the Impact Plan programmed in 2016-2020.
The meeting concluded with Marte Hoffiz presenting his annual
report of activities and of the courses and seminars held by the
Regional Volleyball Development Centers in Santo Domingo and
Tijuana, Mexico. |
