Tread Rosenthal Earns MVP Honors at NORCECA Final Six
PONCE, Puerto Rico, August 29, 2026. – United States setter
Tread Rosenthal earned Most Valuable Player honors at the 2026
NORCECA Men’s Final Six, held from August 23 to 29 at the Juan
“Pachín” Vicéns Auditorium in Ponce, Puerto Rico.
Rosenthal directed the U.S. offense throughout the competition,
helping his team complete an undefeated run and secure its
fourth consecutive Final Six title.
The United States also stood out in several technical
categories. Sean Kelly was named Best Spiker, while Parker
Tomkinson received the Best Blocker award.
Troy Gooch was recognized as Best Receiver, completing the group
of American award winners.
Puerto Rico earned two individual honors. Pelegrín Vargas was
named Second Best Spiker, while Klistan Lawrence received the
Best Scorer award after totaling 98 points during the
tournament.
Guatemala had a strong presence among the honorees. Andy
Leonardo Blanco was named Best Opposite, Adolfo Rivas received
the Best Setter award, and Josué González was recognized as Best
Digger.
The Dominican Republic also featured among the award winners,
with Héctor Cruz named Best Server and Moisés Ortiz selected as
Second Best Blocker.
Canada’s Darian Picklyk completed the list of honorees after
being named Best Libero.
