players that are going one step forward and hopefully in two
years our team will be stronger”.
Coach of Trinidad and Tobago Cuban Idalmis Gato said “we
improved, today we performed with confidence and our actions
were more precise. Everybody says we have tall and strong
players but we need to invest more in our volleyball project to
have more control of the ball and obtain more technique”.
Captain Irene Fonseca of Costa Rica said “we need more
experience; Trinidad hurt us with their aggressive offence.
Being here is positive and this international exposure provides
us elements to continue dominating in Central America, but we
need better physical conditions to hope for more”.
Braulio Godinez coach of Costa Rica said “we are missing
decision to close sets, my players need to keep calm; Trinidad
showed power while blocking which prevent us from finding spaces
to score and they are strong physically. I’m sure we will meet
again in the future, so we must work harder for a better
result”. |
