Gdansk, Poland, September 28, 2022.- In a tight
match, the Turkish team dealt their first
setback in this World Championship to the Queens
of the Caribbean.
The Turks beat the Dominican Republic team in
five sets with a score of 3-2 (21-25, 25-21,
25-18, 16-25, 15-13). Turkey was better in
attacks (61-49), while the Dominicans
outperformed them in blocks (12-9) and in
services (6-4).
For Turkey Ebrar Karakurt had 29 points and
Zehra Gunes contributed 11 in the victory. For
the Dominican Republic Brayelin Martínez and
Gaila González added 20 points respectively.
The Caribbean Queens will have their fourth
match this September 29 against the Polish team. |
