U19 NORCECA Boy’s Continental Championship

Set for Burnaby, Canada 

 

BURNABY, Canada, May 7, 2026. – The U19 NORCECA Boy’s Continental Volleyball Championship will be held at Simon Fraser University (SFU) in Burnaby, British Columbia, from May 12 to 17, featuring eight teams. 

 

The competition will be played in two pools of four teams each. Host Canada is in Pool A alongside Barbados, Costa Rica, and Mexico, while the United States headlines Pool B with Dominican Republic, Panama, and Puerto Rico. 

 

“We’re excited to host and compete in the U19 NORCECA Boy’s Continental Championship. Our staff and athletes understand the privilege that comes with representing our country, and the opportunity to do it here in Canada makes it even more meaningful,” said Adam Schriemer, head coach of Canada’s U19 boys’ team. “Volleyball in Canada is in a great place right now, and we’re looking forward to embracing the challenge and competing at a high level throughout this tournament.” 

 

The tournament represents a key step in the development pathway for young athletes aiming to reach the senior national team level. It also serves as a qualification route toward the next U19 World Championship. 

 

The United States are the defending champions, having claimed the 2024 title with a victory over Cuba in the final. Puerto Rico secured the bronze medal after defeating Canada.
