their expectations for the tournament:
Coach of Colombia, Bryan Silva: "We came with five players who
were with the senior team in the most recent competitions, they
are very experienced girls who understand very well with the Sub
20. I know that the matches will be tough, but we will take
advantage of our young players for their fundamental
competition, which is the South American Championship that will
be held here in Peru in October. "
Coach of Costa Rica, César Salas: "We come with a very young
team, a U20 base group and with which we are committed to
developing a project in the future, which is why our
participation in elite events like this is important, where we
will face teams with a lot of level to help us in the growth of
our volleyball."
Coach of Chile, Eduardo Guillaume: "Our group has been working
since last year, we have girls from U20 and U18 and our first
goal is to continue with the work of giving experience to the
players, especially thinking about our closest competitions as
the South American U20 will be a good opportunity to meet the
new generations of the other teams and we hope to make a
tournament where there is absolute team delivery in every game.
"
Coach of Cuba, Tomás Fernández: "We are very happy to be back to
Peru, the team arrives at a very good level, half comes from the
Central American Games in Barranquilla, for this competition I
believe that the serve will be our key to achieve positive
results We know it will be a tough competition, strong rivals
like Peru, Dominican Republic, Colombia, but we hope to be able
to overcome the third place in the last two editions."
Coach of Guatemala, William Fernandez: "With this team we went
to the Central American Games to reach a higher level of warm-up
for this Cup, I think it served us a lot and we hope to give a
good show in this competition, ensuring at least the third place
in our Series and take advantage of each game for the growth of
the work that we have raised in the long term ".
Coach of Mexico, Luis Alberto Leon: "In our Series we have
strong rivals like Colombia that comes from participating in the
Central American and Caribbean Games and the Dominican Republic
that comes with a team with a lot of experience, they will be
quite strong and interesting games and that will serve for the
growth of the team sub 20 that will play next year in the World
Cup which will be the venue ".
Coach of Peru, Carlos Aparicio: "The team arrives in very good
conditions, we know we can not be over confident but the girls
have worked very hard. I think the matches will be very
important for the preparation of our younger girls and of great
interest for our fans. I trust in the performance of my team and
we hope to reach the final and play for the gold medal.
Coach of Dominican Republic, Wagner Pacheco: "I am happy to be
back in Peru where we have always done very well, it will be a
very interesting tournament because Colombia and Mexico have
grown a lot, Cuba is always a selection with a lot of history,
Peru although it does not have their main players play at home
and is a rival to consider, but we arrived very well prepared to
keep the title one more time". |
