RIMINI, Italy, May 31, 2021 – United States
maintained its perfect record with four wins in
as many outings at the Women’s Volleyball
Nations League of FIVB after blanking Serbía 3-0
(25-20, 25-16, 25-12) in Monday’s action.
The Americans previously scored victories over
Dominican Republic, Canada and Brazil in the
first round of the 16-team competition.
Jordan Thompson was the top scorer for the
winning side with 17 points, while Haleigh
Washington and Michelle Batsch-Hackley each
contributed 11 points in the victory.
Katarina Lazovic and Aleksandra Uzelac stood out
for Serbia with 12 and 8 points, respectively.
The Americans established an overwhelming margin
in attacks 43-23 and also led in blocks 8-6 and
serving aces 5-3. |
