CALGARY, Canada, June 30, 2022 – The United
States’ female national team defeated Serbia in
straight sets 3-0 (25-17, 33-31, 25-16)
improving its league leading record to 9-1 at
the FIVB Volleyball Nations League on Thursday.
Kathryn Plummer finished the contest with 18
points for the winners. Jordan Thompson was next
with 15 and Sarah Wilwhite added 12.
Bienka Busa and Ana Bjelica had 14 and 13
points, respectively, for the Serbian team that
dropped its record to 6-4.
The Americans finished with eight blocks as a
team, including three by middle blocker Haleigh
Washington who also had one ace and 8 points. |
