RIMINI, Italy, June 14, 2021 – United States
defeated Turkey 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-14)
as the American side remained undefeated at the
FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League with a
12-0 record after four rounds of action.
The winners led in attacks 61-44 and also in
blocks 10-6 while committed 20 errors compared
to 24 by the Turkish side. The losers led in
aces 5-4.
Five American players reached double digits in
the scoring charts led by Jordan Thompson with
19 points. The others were: Michelle
Bartsch-Hackley (14), Jordan Larson (13),
Haleigh Washington (12) and Foluke Akinradewo
(10).
Ebra Karakurt was the best scorer on the Turkish
side with 18 points while Hande Baladin chipped
in with 13 points. |
