TOKYO, Japan, July 28, 2020 – United States
defeated Tunisia 3-1 (25-14, 23-25, 25-14,
25-23) to grab their second victory against one
loss in Pool B of the men´s volleyball
tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games on
Wednesday.
The American side established a wide distance
from the Tunisians in attacks (66-41), blocks
(9-6) and aces (6-1). They committed, however,
28 unforced errors.
Torey Defalco was the best scorer for the United
States with 24 points, followed by Taylor Sander
with 17 and Maxwell Holt with 16.
Wasim Ben Tara with 16 points was the only
player of Tunisia who reached the double figures
in the scoring charts. |
