RIMINI, Italy, May 30, 2021 – United
States recovered from losing the first set to
defeat Argentina 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-19) in a
men’s volleyball match of the FIVB Nations
League on Sunday.
Torey Defalco racked up 20 points as the
best scorer of the winning side while Benjamin
Patch added 10. Facundo Conte and Jan Franchi
Martinez each had 9 points for the losers.
In another match, Brazil defeated Canada
3-1 (25-17, 25-20, 22-25, 27-25) to remain
undefeated in three outings.
Douglas Correia led Brazil with 22 points
followed by Wallace de Souza with 19. Canadian
Sharone Vernon-Evans led all the players in the
match with 24 points while Eric Loeppky and
Arthur Szwarc added 14 and 10, respectively. |
