Alejandra Marin, captain of Colombia, said: “We need to play
against teams like United States to continue improving. We
didn’t play thinking about them but focused on our game. That’s
why we won the third set, and we feel about it.”
Kristin Hildebrand, captain of United States, said: “Colombia
team is improving a lot and worked very well on defense which
contributed to an intense match; we won it and feel happy
because of that.”
Eduardo Guillaume, coach of Colombia: “Despite the loss, I feel
glad about the performance of my team. The inconsistency we
showed is because of the inexperience of my athletes; we need to
face more rivals of this level to be able to improve.”
David Hunt, coach of United States: “Yesterday we saw Colombia
playing Mexico and knew that the match was not going to be
simple. Today we have been able to win despite some injuries in
our team and we hope the girls can recover quickly.” |
