USA edged Dominican Republic for fifth place

LIMA, Peru May 11, 2019 - United States held off a strong reaction and defeated the Dominican Republic 3-2 (25-17, 25-14, 20-25, 24-26, 15-12) in the contest for fifth place at the U21 Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup.

Brett Wildman was the best American scorer with 21 points, followed by Ryan Wilcox with 17. Devin Joslyn and Canyon Tuman contributed 13 and 12 in the win.

Bayron .Valdez had 20 for the Dominican squad while Brian Muñoz added 13.

The winners had the advantage in attacks (51-38), blocks (11-5) and aces (11-9)
