defeated Brazil 3-1 (21-25, 27-25, 25-20, 25-20)
for their fourth victory in as many outings at
the FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League.
Jake Hanes scored 20 points to lead four
Americans in double digits in scoring. Tyler
Mitchem (13), Jeffrey Jendryk II (12) and Aaron
Russell (10) were the others.
Brazilian Alan Souza had 23 points as the best
scorers of the match, followed by Leao Rodrigo
with 13 points.
In Ottawa, Canada, Italy defeated Canada 3-0
(25-21, 25-18, 25-19). It was the third
consecutive loss for the Canadians.
Mattia Bottolo and Yuri Romano each scored 13
points for Italy. Jackson Howe had 8 points as
the top scorer for the losers. |
