RIMINI, Italy, June 5, 2021 - The United States
leveled their win-loss record in the FIVB Men's
Volleyball Nations League at 3-3 by defeating
Australia in consecutive sets (25-23, 25-20,
25-17) on Saturday.
The Americans were superior in the blocking
category 9-2 and also in serving aces 6-1. They
made 21 errors to 21 by the Aussies.
Matt Anderson and Kyle Ensing finished in double
figures for the winners with 14 and 11 points,
respectively. David Smith and Thomas Jaeschke
added 9 and 8 in the victory.
Tim Taylor finished with 9 points as the best
Australian attacker, followed by Beau Graham and
Trent O’Dea with 7 apiece. |
