KORTRIJK, Belgium, July 11, 2021
The USA Women advanced to the Final Eight of the
FIVB U20 World Championship with an undefeated
3-0 win-loss record after defeating Turkey in
straight sets 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-22) on
Sunday.
Allysa Batenhorst, Emily Londot and Allison
Jacobs each collected 11 points to lead the
American offense. They previously got victories
over Russia (3-1) and Thailand (3-0).
The competition moves now to the Netterlands
where the top two teams of each of the four
pools will compete in two new pools for the
positions 1 to 8 while the two teams of the
bottom will move to two pools to play for the 8
to 16 places.
